The Grand Ole Opry at 85: Marketing an Iconic Brand
Speaker: Dan Rogers, Senior Marketing Manager, Grand Ole Opry
What began as a local radio broadcast in 1925 is today a live-entertainment phenomenon. Through the evolution of country music, the advent of new media and music outlets, and most recently, a disastrous flood in its permanent home, the Grand Ole Opry continues to be the touchstone for everyone in the world who loves country music.
But just how did the Opry become a cultural icon? And how do you sustain a brand for 85 years – and continue to draw new visitors? At our September NAMA luncheon, Dan Rogers, Senior Marketing Manager at the Opry, will tell us how the Opry’s marketing team reaches out to new fans and satisfies old ones as it strives to remain a vital part of country music’s future.
Luncheon sponsored by: Gamma Blast – Video and Digital Content Creation
AIM Awards
Before Dan’s presentation, we’ll be presenting our 2010 AIM awards. AIM shines a light on businesses and non-profits who are delivering measurable results through marketing. The awards were originally scheduled for 3 days after the flood.
Registration will begin at 11:00 (earlier than usual) to accommodate this addition to the program.
